The compute systems of the NHR@ZIB are complemented by a significant offer of scientific service. The options cover the following points.

• guidance and advice for users during the preparation and realization of compute time projects with respect to computational methods, to efficient usage of the compute systems and during the code optimization
• organization of education events and of advanced trainings for the usage of high-performance computing systems
• provisioning of optimized application software for the scientific community

The scientific service is developed by the NHR@ZIB directly. This is done in close collaboration to other NHR centers and it is further complemented by the supra-regional and interdisciplinary network of scientists in North Germany.
